Since we opened our doors in 1998, Court House Grounds has been dedicated to providing great food, and an even better atmosphere.
I would like to introduce ourselves, we are Tracy Jones and Bill Franklin. We opened Court House Grounds on Christmas Eve 1998. Over the years we have re-invented, updated, and over hauled our business many times, looking for the best ways to improve ourselves, our shop and to better serve our customers.
December being our anniversary month we are excited at the thought that we are facing our 19th Anniversary!! Which means CHG can now legally drink in Canada! I’ve screwed up a lot of stuff, but the fact that we are still here, says that we’ve done something right. The first being that I chose to go into business with my best friend.
We are just now recovering from a "British invasion" our latest business experiment. As of this post, Tina's Traditional Tea Room and Tavern has officially pulled out of our location, in order for her to concentrate on her Carmel and Columbus stores. We wish Tina and her organization the best. So Danville it looks like you are stuck with us!!.... fasten your seat belts!
We highlight coffee freshly roasted by Arcane Coffee Company, at 138 West Marion, just off of the square here in town. Dudley Foreman roasts fresh daily! The juices that we feature on our menu come from, Blended, the smoothie shop at 58 South Washington Street, just two doors down from us here on the square, Caitlin Russo squeezes fresh daily!! AND our loose leaf teas are from SpecialTEA, an eCommerce here in Danville, Lauren Heller blends fresh daily!!!
Our beautiful building on South Washington Street enhances any restaurant that it houses was built in 1882 by a Civil War veteran named James Beck. We are proud of the 19 years worth of stories that our business has contributed to Danville and to the Hendricks County community. We’ve come a long way since 1998, and we’d love to have you as a part of our story.
