Since we opened our doors in 1998, Court House Grounds has been dedicated to providing great food, and an even better atmosphere.
Whether you’re ordering one of our homemade soups or just enjoying a cup of coffee, we promise that you’ll never have the same experience twice.
With a dedication to quality food, all the way down to the homemade mayonnaise, we’ve become much more than just a bistro, and we’re far from the average coffee house. From breakfast quiche to burgers and reubens, our menu is full of flavor that our customers can’t seem to get enough of.
Just because we speak the same language as the British, does not mean that we understand them!.. or they us. Did you know that the chips in "fish and chips" are not chips at all? Just like "Yorkshire Pudding" is not pudding... and do you know the difference between "shepherds pie" and "cottage pie"? What's a "pasty," ... "treacle",... a "banger"? ... And "spotted dick" is not at ALL what you'd think!
Our beautiful building on South Washington Street enhances any restaurant that it houses was built in 1882 by a Civil War veteran named James Beck. We are proud of the 19 years worth of stories that our business has contributed to Danville and to the Hendricks County community. We’ve come a long way since 1998, and we’d love to have you as a part of our story. Visit us soon, Bill and Tracy are still here! and get to know our new British menu and new staff members... Cherrio ole mate!
